Compressed Air Engine Vehicle

As I understand it, their is a French concept vehicle that runs off of compressed air but it depends on special air-compression stations instead of gasoline stations. In this in-between hybrid world we live in with a continuing dependence on oil, it seems intelligent to me to include a standard gas powered air compressor to function as a compressed air generator for the primary engine. That way, the vehicle could run on compressed air and gasoline when needed.
