PATSi

PATSi is a public transit system that uses the carpool lanes of freeways exclusively. The stations can be modified to allow private toll vehicles to have ingress and egress to the lanes also.
It is an intermediate and long distance transit system that transports passengers to and from the on/off ramp near their origination and destination. These five to twenty five mile trips on the freeway are subject to freeway conditions and make arrival times unpredictable.
PATSi is a twenty hour a day system that will take people to their destinations in any direction spontaneously like their cars. Passengers will be boarded within ten minutes maximum and will not stop more than one time during their journey. Each passenger on the eight passenger HOV will sit in their own compartment and have TV, Radio for entertainment. They will be able to use their computers for work, call friends or clients, or even sleep if they want. A video system on board will allow them to preview their destinations for surface traffic transit or local merchants.
There is a video of the system operating on the Company Website:
www.patsidirect.com that demonstrates the effectiveness of the system.
In addition the system will replace and exceed the sales tax revenues derived from auto sales tax revenue that so many cities depend on for their budgets.
