Maybe it's the technology, though I think that exists, maybe it's the expense or the difficulty.  I wonder about t-shirts with moving images on them, simple ones but still with some motion and change.
Maybe it just needs an image that would be as popular and wide spread as say the yellow smiley face or the dancing baby of "Ali McGraw.'  Perhaps that will come from some publicity seeking entertainer or maybe through some advertiser who wants to be first.
Like a simple picture of a bottle or mug of beer that bubbles overflow from.  It could have the slogan, "Always full of gusto" or maybe just "More, more, more!"
A short ad might show a guy with a partially opened shirt.  We see the blank t-shirt beneath it, and then bubbles suddenly appear on the t-shirt. Onlookers gasp and point, can it be.
The guy rips open his shirt to show the full image.  Yes, it's Beer Man.
