Energy Effenciency
Posted 11/06/2008 by Timg in Environment | Submit idea in this category
I would open a windowfront small business selling everything from tankless water heaters to windows and CFL lightbulbs. A sort of one stop shop for residential energy effiency.

What do you think, would it sell?

Could work, with the way things are going your buisness could make quite a lot of money.

If you stocked everything from lightbulbs and water saving things it would be great.. I know I would come around often.

Maybe this is a sign for you to start something.

Good luck with it mate.

i think that's a great idea, but you'd have to keep in mind that costs for "green" products are high and the prices may scare away the customers. On the other hand, the environment is a huge topic nowadays and everyone is looking to chip in. Def a unique idea and i don't think they'll be much competition out there since you're store will be the only one I know of

Sounds like an excellent idea! The old brick and mortar industry is all about location, so consider that first and foremost! You might also consider an e-commerce web site to sell your items online. If you don't have the money or technical prowess (or connections) you can open a store on Amazon.com selling the same items with their web site and having it delivered for you. best of luck!
