Wedding Database

There should be a universal database of all wedding vendors - bakers, stationary stores, florists, musicians, etc. It can be used as a search engine to search by region, type, price. Then the results should be listed by ratings given by their consumers - a vendor with NO testimonials or reviews should raise a red flag that no one was blown away enough by their service to rate it well!

Now THAT is an excellent idea! I would imagine that Yelp.com could accommodate this idea if people thought enough to include them. It wouldn't be a dedicated database to just wedding vendors, but the technology is certainly there.

I think that's great on two fronts: obviously for the wedding planners, and also the vendors as this would also be a form of advertising for them.
