First date chicken and chocolate

For a first date dinner, you want something that is obviously tasty, but that is relatively quick to make. If you whip up a dish quickly that tastes awesome, you instantly earn brownie points.

Ingredients: 1 lb. thin, boneless chicken tenderloins or breasts, 2 cup flour, salt, pepper, 2 tbsp oil, 2 tbsp butter, 1 package chopped mushrooms, 1/2 cup Marsala wine

Chicken Marsala is a great choice and only takes 20 mins. Just spice up a bowl of flour with some salt, pepper, and basil. Throw 2 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp butter into a pan and heat it. Dredge the chicken in the flour and throw it into into the pan to brown. When you flip the chicken, add the mushrooms on top and around. Finally, after 3 or 4 minutes cooking on each side, add the Marsala wine, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. This will steam the mushrooms.

Serve this with some flavored rice and a vegetable you're all set. Red wine works best to accompany it.

For dessert, go to the store and buy one of those containers of chocolate made for melting, probably in the candy aisle (ask someone who works there if you cant find it.) While you're there, pick up rice krispie treats (pre made), apples and strawberries. Cut all fruit and the treats into 1 inch squares. Put the chocolate into a glass bowl and sit this on a hot pot of water on the stove top. Voila - skewer them babies w/ a fork and dip. Ultimate first-date chocolate fondue, and we all know chocolate is a girl's second best friend, next to diamonds of course.

Chicken Marsala is always a crowd pleaser. Another good one is a quick Chicken Frances. I'm not sure of the measurments (forgive me, I learned my recipes watching chefs throw in a pinch of this and a pinch of that while I worked in a restaurant) but again, Chicken, some eggs, flour, lemon juice, butter, white cooking wine, chicken stock and if you really want to spice it up, either rice or pasta.

To make the sauce, toss some white wine in a pot along with chicken stock and a little bit of butter. Let that cook just a little bit then begin adding lemon juice (this can really be done to your taste, although I don't sugget overpowering the sauce). let that cook and add a little bit of flour and water mixture to thicken the sauce a little bit.

The chicken, put it in flour and then dip it into freshly stirred eggs. On the stove have a pan with oil heating up. Take the chicken and put it in the oil, after putting the egg on it, and it seals the egg batter around the chicken.

Place the chicken into the sauce and let it cook the rest of the way.

Top the chicken over rice or pasta for a delicious meal.
