Two Flavors in one Bottle
Posted 06/08/2008 by zboston3 in Food and Drinks | Submit idea in this category
Sweet and sour, sugar and salt, the idea of mixing distinctly different flavors is not uncommon and is the basis of some popular foods and drinks.  In some cases they're just mixed together as say in a cocktail.  In other cases, they're in sequence like tequila with a beer chaser.

What about having two distinct flavors simultaneously.  I think of something like a pop bottle but with a dividing layer in the middle running from bottom right up to the top of the narrow neck.  It would be difficult with glass or even plastic bottles, but maybe the dividing layer could be no more than a sheet of cellophane that separated two flavors.  When you uncapped it and peeled off the top, you would drink and the two flavors, like lime and grape, would mingle together in your mouth.

Pros! or whatever.

Oh, we seem to be able to create good sealing with capped items of many sorts - even pop has a cap with an inner lining to prevent leakage, and I think drinking it with the divider vertical or horizonal wouldn't be too hard to do if you really wanted to drink it.

Good idea but is it feasible? Would the divider go to the very top to avoid "premixing" in the bottle? It would have to be a good seal when the bottle is closed or else it will mix in shipping, carrying, etc. Also, drinking it could be a chore if you have to look at the bottle every time to make sure you put your lips in the right place to make sure the divider is vertical because if it's horizontal when drinking - major spillage.

Great idea, I can't believe this hasn't been done before (at least I haven't heard it).
