You don't need a fad diet if you exercise like it's 1899!

Body weight and diet in the 21st century would be so much easier to manage if people realized that we have become exceptionally lazy. We no longer have to plow the fields or build our own homes or even grind our own coffee. We have automatic car washers, dish washers and clothes washers. And with ready information on our cellphones and the Internet, we don't even have to walk to the store (as if we wouldn't drive there anyway) to buy a newspaper to find out when the movie is playing so we can sit on our backsides for another couple of hours. I said all of that to say this; if every home came with a bike operated generator to power the television and kitchen appliances, we would all think twice about sitting down and watching that rerun of Friends and nuking a pizza. I think it would be great if you could go to Sears and buy a Bike-Gen 5000 and get the kids off the floor and make them play Xbox while pedaling for the power to do it.

How 'bout we just teach the new generation not to be lazy? Teach them healthy eating and healthy exercise habits? Why go backwards in technology? I want my lo-calorie microwave popcorn while I relax on my nice big sofa watching a rerun of my favorite show. I can do that because I know that I am eating right and exercising regularly.
