Herbal Treatments Underrated
Posted 12/22/2009 by Millenial in Home Remedies | Submit idea in this category
There needs to be a balance of Eastern and Western medicine more widely accepted in the United States. Recently I had a medical problem that had not been thoroughly explored by the medical community. Their treatments were brutal and ineffective. I made sure that this doctor was a specialist and he admitted there was no cure for this problem. I went to an herbalist that was recommended by a friend of the family, and through reflexology and iridology she was able to determine which herbal supplements would help my own body to eliminate this problem. Well needless to say my eyes have been opened. I am no longer a skeptic.

There are definite advantages and proven value to using herbal treatments. I used to get sick with colds and flu at least two to three times a year. Since I started taking a conservative collection of herbs, I haven't been sick since. That was about three years ago. I take my usual multi-vitamin along with extra vitamin C and D, and add echinacea, olive leaf extract, and green tea extract. I aslo take chromium picolinate which helps a great deal with blood sugar levels. Sadly, American medicine is all about profit for the latest pill that hides the symptoms and uses small print to hide the "side-effects". American medicine is neanderthal.
