Emergency Water-motor
Posted 08/20/2010 by ragartragart in Safety | Submit idea in this category
Those tiny solar water pumps for fountains sure do pump some water when the sun shines. Attach the biggest one you can afford to a lightweight aluminum rod with a steering handle at the top and attach it to your dingy/life-jacket/raft/kayak/inner tube/etc....and off you go! The water goes in one end and pushes it out another with enough force to slowly propel any small water vehicle without propellers or wind.

Any idea that's eco-friendly is a step in the right direction. Wind-powered, solar-powered all good!
