Alien Evolution

Not only with countless opportunities to create life but as long as the life on a planet can adapt to the changing conditions. There could essentially be life on a planet that appears barren simply because it did produce life once upon a time. Seeing as a cockroach can survive a nuclear blast and a possible world war III would cause world wide fallout.

Actually, it's a myth that the cockroach could supposedly survive a nuclear apocalypse. MythBusters tackled that one a while back. They did however have some success with some form of beetle that showed a marginal survival rate in a high radiation environment.

That and the fact that life NEEDS certain things for survival and can only do it under certain circumstances, so to our current knowledge there is no way life can be on other plants unless they have those conditions met.
