Itunes in the ipod

The new ipods already have internet access, so why not have the itunes store already installed in the them? This way, we can download songs directly from our ipod, instead of having to do that from our computers and then import them.

So if you're sitting on the bus/train/plane, and want to listen to a track that you might not already have, you can just buy it right from your ipod's connection.

Good idea. If the IPods have WiFi, what about a feature so you can swap music directly with other ipods? Or is sharing anti-Apple?

What about the iPod touch or the iPhone? They might have iTunes.

Perhaps this changed since the last post in '08, but my iPhone 3G has iTunes installed and I can download music directly.
