Honeymoon plans for western Italy

I'm getting married in October. We're looking to have our honeymoon on the western coast near Naples. We'd like to somehow incorporate Capri, Mt. Vesuvius and possibly even the Amalfi Coast somehow.

I'm looking for input or ideas from anyone who has experience in that region, maybe some ideas on how to plan it, where to stay, where to visit? Should we plan it ourselves or get help from an agent?

I've never been there, but a good travel agent can find things you might never consider. You can always get "free" info from several agents by requesting a package, have them e-mail the specifics to you and then not buy any of them but take a lot of notes.
