Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
Good dessert idea: 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda ½ cup butter, softened ½ cup white sugar ½ cup peanut butter ½ cup packed brown sugar 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 Tbsp. milk 40 miniature chocolate covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda; set aside. Cream together the butter, sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla and milk. Add the flour mixture; mix well. Shape into 40 balls and place each into an ungreased mini muffin pan. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately press a mini peanut butter cup into each ball. Cool and carefully remove from pan.

Taco Chicken Wings recipe
I saw this recipe for Taco Chicken Wings and thought it would be a good idea to serve at Super Bowl parties: Ingredients: * 1/2 cup all-purpose flour * 1 envelope (approx. 1 1/4 ounces) Taco Seasoning Mix * 3 pounds chicken wings, tips removed, cut at the joints * 6 tablespoons butter * 1 cup crushed Doritos or other corn chips Preparation: Combine flour with Taco Seasoning Mix in a plastic food storage bag. Add chicken wings, a few at a time, and shake to coat thoroughly. Melt butter in a 15x10x1-inch baking pan (jelly roll pan size) or a large roasting pan. Add chicken to the pan turning over to coat well with the melted butter. Roll chicken pieces in corn chips then return to the baking pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Makes about 32 taco chicken wing appetizers.

Game Shows - Let's Split the Prize
How about a game show that allows home viewers to "invest" in the contestant, so that everyone can get a piece of the pie. The viewer would call a hotline provided by the show and pay a fee with their credit card. The more people that call in prior to the show, the higher the "viewer pot" is, which can be shown somewhere on the screen during the game. If the contestant wins, you would win a portion of the "viewer pot". This would make watching the gameshow more interesting since the outcome effects you rather than just some random stranger on TV, therefore being a sure ratings grabber.

Movies on Thumb Drives
How long do you give it until DVDs become an obsolete form of media? I'm thinking movies will eventually all be on thumb drives, and TVs will have USB ports to plug the movies into. Think about how much space we would be saving without all the decks piled up beneath the television, not to mention all the wires behind the TV which we won't need anymore.

Tailgating Sports Bar
This might be a good idea in theory, but not sure how it would work out in reality though...Tailgating is a major part in sporting events, so I think it would make sport fans feel at home to have a sports bar with a tailgating theme. The atmosphere can be set up like a parking lot with parking locater signs. Lawn chairs can also be set up throughout the bar for people to sit on while drinking their beer and watching the game on the big screen. Again, this sounds good in theory, but might be very difficult to pull off successfully.

Unique Biology Trip???
I'm a High School biology teacher with the problem that most people in my field have...keeping the students interested and motivated. As a new school year begins, I'm trying to plan a unique and fun field trip at the end of the year. My students have to make the grades in order to qualify, and I don't think a traditional trip to the museum is enough motivation for them to hit the books. My colleague, who is a Physics teacher, takes his students to Six Flags every year to demonstrate how the laws of physics apply. Of course, his students look forward to this trip all year, and I would love to have a similar, biology-relevant trip, for my students to look forward to. Can anyone think of a destination where Biology students can experience what they learned in class all year, yet have fun while doing it? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
