Alternate history plot - American Revolution 2011
Here's an idea for a story or movie - it's an Alternate History story with the plot being that we failed in the American Revolution to separate ourselves from British Rule. The plot would take place in 2011 or any modern date where we are still ruled by the British. Because of rising economic tensions blamed on the British and a few injustices that mirror real historical events, the plot would involve characters based on our founding fathers and their modern, underground struggle using social media as a communication device like Egypt and Libya and we'd see the American Revolutionary war take place in modern times. In these modern days of economic worries, housing market collapse and other American pitfalls, to see the country rise up, stand up for itself and become it's own nation in a way that we could relate to would just be killer.

Coffee ice cubes for perfect Iced Coffee to the last drop
Here's a not-so-obvious trick I picked up from someone. The next time you brew a pot of coffee, make some extra. Once you let that cool down, pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze it. I promise you that the next cup of Iced Coffee you make will be awesome down to the last drop, instead of watered down like it usually is with regular ice.

Tits and Clips
Sex sells. No doubt. I wish that a franchise was opened up, similar to Hooters, but with barber shops. If you've never had your hair cut by an attractive female then you don't know what things such as the crotch-elbow-glide and cleavage-clipper are. But if you have experienced any of these, you also know exactly how to get maximum benefit from the labyrinth of mirrors around you. I don't know one guy on this planet who wouldn't dig $5 deeper in his pocket to ditch his smelly Irish barber for a gorgeous brunette right out of cosmetology school. Taking Hooter's lead, a "uniform" and family-friendly approach are important to not fall victim to the "skeevy" label.

Drunk Driving
I was with a few of my friends trying to figure out a guys-night-out plan. We analyzed it and realized a good mixture for any night out would be: Beer + some activity, however, not many activities permitted drinking. A great business plan would be to have a golf driving range that permitted the consumption of alcohol. Like any sporting event where people could get hurt, helmets would be provided. We could take batting cage helmets and turn them into beer holders so patrons could enjoy some hands-free activity. A ball-fetcher would drive around in the caged car the entire time to give patrons something to aim for and enhance their mood. Maybe we could even put some targets on the car, but remember, aim for the one in the middle! If alcohol licenses are a problem: BYOB like the "juice bars" do. If aggression is a problem, impose a 3 drink minimum like some concert halls do. Finally the title of the establishment: Drunk Driving

Airport security... with what cameras?
December 24th's terrorist activity on board Northwestern airlines afforded only 1 picture of the entire activity to the media, and it was from a passenger's camera phone. If you think about the most recent flights you've taken, were there video cameras watching you? The recovery of a "black box" seems so antiquated in today's age of Wi-fi and high tech gadgets. Why not have surveillance cameras on all flights that send packets of footage every 10 minutes or so via satellite to an archive somewhere? Wouldn't this make it so much easier to determine events leading up to plane failures, terrorist activity and other unlikely events?

Need Android App ideas
I know the Apple app store has many more apps than the Android app store, but the Android community is growing every day. As I'm getting into Android App development, I'm looking for some nifty ideas, whether it be utilities or games. Obvously nothing as crazy as Angry Birds, slimeboy or Pacdroid, but even simple apps like checklists and Can Knockdown go a long way...

Unique groomsmen gift ideas
I was lucky enough to be on a search for the perfect groomsmen gifts recently. Through all the websites I've looked through, many themes were very common, like cigar cutters, flasks and duffel bags. Even when I googled "unique groomsmen gift ideas" I still got the same old common results. In my attempt to help the next bachelor in his search for something truly different, here's a short list of creative gift ideas for the best men in your life: 1. Extreme experience or adventure: There are many websites, like www.xperiencedays.com, that offer gift certificates for experiences like skydiving, white-water rafting, hangliding, drag car racing and scuba diving. If you plan for the whole wedding party to go on an adventure together, not only will it create a fun experience, but some shared memories as well. 2. Anything personalized works well, even ordinary things like cocktail shakers, beer mugs, gym bags, tool boxes, lighters etc. will be made instantaneously genuine and personal if you get their names engraved, embossed or embroidered. And in my opinion, getting your own name or wedding date engraved on a gift for someone else is just corny and takes away from it in the long run. 3. Subscriptions are a great idea because they deliver over stretches of time. If you search the web, you'll find subscription services for every walk of life. There are beer clubs that will provide your groomsmen with a delivery of a different beer every month, magazine subscriptions, cigar-of-the-month clubs, wine clubs, etc. With a subscription, your groomsmen will think of you and your generosity every time they take delivery. 4. Make a mix-gift box. If searching for the perfect gift is running you into a dead-end, that may be because your groomsmen are all different or maybe one gift alone doesn't quite fit the bill. Be flexible, combine a few gifts into a nice gift box. A few ideas for this would be to combine a bunch of high-class cigars with an engraved cigar cutter and put them into a nice humidor with a lighter. An idea for the sports fan would be to combine a ticket to a game along with a voucher for parking, and a nice pair of binoculars. The gamer might enjoy a year's subscription to X-Box Live along with some peripherals and maybe a new game for each guy. The handy-man might like an embroidered toolbag with some quality tools that he could surely use to replace his old set. My suggestion is to personalize one of the items with suggestions from Idea #2 and supplement it with other non-personalized items. 5. Aside from the crazy adventure idea, you could plan a night out with the guys that includes some all-inclusiveness a la the bachelor. A casino cruise, for example, might include you purchasing one ticket per-guy, along with a gambling and dinner voucher, or tickets to a show on board. In that way, your guys are all together but some, or most, of the expenses are taken care of. Even sporting events like a UFC fight could be supplemented with box-seats, or a nice dinner and drinks already included. 6. Some wacky and unusual products to give as groomsmen gifts are customized bobble head dolls, custom beer steins, gift certificates to tattoo parlors, and custom tailored dress shirts with their initials embroidered on the cuffs. I invite the rest of the community to pitch in here and post some other unique ideas for groomsmen gifts...

Honeymoon plans for western Italy
I'm getting married in October. We're looking to have our honeymoon on the western coast near Naples. We'd like to somehow incorporate Capri, Mt. Vesuvius and possibly even the Amalfi Coast somehow. I'm looking for input or ideas from anyone who has experience in that region, maybe some ideas on how to plan it, where to stay, where to visit? Should we plan it ourselves or get help from an agent?
