Put spending limitations/restrictions on campaign advertising
To begin to remove the business side of politics and end the PR/Marketing campaigns that are elections now. I think that putting spending limits and/or restrictions on the amount of money a campgain can raise and spend on traditional advertising would be beneficial on many levels. 1.  Less time raising capital, more time debating/discussing/meeting voters 2.  No more 'Attack Ads' 3.   Individuals may be more inclined to research candidates themselves, without barraged by accusations, retaliations, and so on. 4.  Money could be put to better use...helping people who actually need it.  I would imagine that the amount of money spent on most campaings rivals that spent on public education....If they haven't met yet, It won't be long.  (campaign spending up and up, school spending down and down) I know there are a lot of loopholes here and it would be difficult/impossible to enforce, but something has to change about our electoral process and I think that this is a rational idea.
