Man-made Floating Habitat Barges
Create two-level, hydraulically leveled, hexagonal, floating barges that interlock in a honeycomb pattern to create huge livable space on the open seas. The hydraulics would be computer controlled to maintain a balanced surface above while the lower level moved with the ocean waves. The entire platform could be navigated by giant Azipods (azimuth thrusters) like on large cruise ships. These movable platforms could be used to create extra real estate for flood prone areas like New Orleans, offshore farms, airports (similar to Japan's Kansai airport in Osaka), or even independent countries...
